香港で7年暮らす。現地での国際交流をとおして和文化の魅力を再認識。帰国後、和菓子を学び、和菓子師範過程を卒業後は、国際交流の一環として外国人向けの和菓子ワークショップを主催。日本国内及び香港の国際交流機関や日本語学校と提携した和菓子教室を開催し、和菓子の魅力、和菓子作りの楽しさを伝える活動を行っている

 

Hello, my name is Kaori. My passion is wagashi and international cultural exchanges. I lived in Hong Kong for several years. There were many chances of cultural exchange experiences as Hong Kong is a melting pot and many people from abroad are living there. I realized unique aspects of Japanese sweets and fun of making and introducing wagashi during my stay there.
I started learning making Japanese sweets since I returned to Japan. After graduated from a school and got a license of a wagashi instructor, I have been organizing various wagashi workshops in Tokyo and Hong Kong to introduce one of the traditional Japanese cultures, wagashi.
